Each month, The Tide community nominates worthy causes from around the world. Qualified causes enter the active Cause Pool. At the monthly cutoff, five finalists are selected — four through published weighted criteria and one Wild Wave through a completely random draw. $STARFISH holders then choose which organisation becomes the next Wave Partner.

Know an organisation doing meaningful good? Nominate it for an opportunity to join The Tide's Cause Pool and potentially become a future Wave Partner.

Who can become a Wave Partner?

Legitimate charities, nonprofits, NGOs, faith-based organisations, schools, community organisations and other verified organisations doing meaningful good may qualify. Organisational size does not affect eligibility — a small local organisation has the same opportunity as a large international one.

  • Be legitimate and verifiable
  • Have a clear public-benefit mission
  • Be legally able to receive contributions
  • Have — or be willing to establish — a trackable donation method
  • Pass The Tide's basic eligibility, fraud and compliance review

Generally not eligible at launch: individual people or personal fundraising campaigns, for-profit businesses, political candidates or parties, illegal or sanctioned organisations, hate or extremist organisations, and organisations established primarily for the private financial benefit of an individual.
