How $STARFISH powers The Tide

The Tide ecosystem, powered by $STARFISH. Acts of kindness: one verified act returns one $STARFISH to the sea, up to 100 million. Funding community causes: 100% of IMPACT Fee proceeds plus 100% of donations, and every $1 USD of total contributions returns one $STARFISH to the sea, up to 100 million — helping return 200 million $STARFISH to the sea in total. Around the cycle: participate, support, create impact, return to the sea, and the Tide rises. Ways to take part: upload acts of kindness, nominate Wave Partners, vote for the monthly Wave Partner, donate to Wave Partners, and purchase or hold $STARFISH.

Community support creates another path back to the sea. For every $1 USD in verified contributions made to our Waves of Impact Partners, 1 $STARFISH is also returned to the sea.

Those contributions can come from two places:

Direct community donations, and the 1.0% IMPACT Fee on every $STARFISH buy and sell through The Tide's liquidity pool.

Think of a liquidity pool as the digital supply of $STARFISH and funds that makes buying and selling $STARFISH possible. The Tide provides all of the launch liquidity for the official $STARFISH/USDC market on Uniswap on the Base network, and locks it permanently with UNCX so it can never be withdrawn. Every buy and sell through that market pays the 1.0% IMPACT Fee. UNCX keeps 2% of the fees when they are collected, and 100% of the rest, less the unavoidable costs of delivering it, is committed to the community-selected Wave Partner. Base network fees and Uniswap's own fees are separate. Trades on other pools don't pay the IMPACT Fee.

Between direct community donations and IMPACT Fees, our initial collective goal is to generate up to $100 million in verified contributions to our Waves of Impact Partners — returning up to another 100 million $STARFISH to the sea along the way.
